Lorrie Young, LMSW, CADC

Lorrie specializes in solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and in working with patients with co-occurring disorders. She has worked to develop informative programming targeted at fighting the effects of stigma as it impacts patients with chronic mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Kelly Grunhovd, CPS
Chief Operating Officer
Kelly Grunhovd is the Prevention Program Manager/Program Director. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish. While studying at the University of Northern Iowa, she concentrated her class load in Psychology of Adjustment and Abnormal Psychology. She was also able to fine tune her Spanish skills by studying a semester in Spain. Ms. Grunhovd is a certified instructor for Strengthening Families Program, Reconnecting Youth and Prime for Life programs.
Director of Information Technology
Mark has been with Prairie Ridge Since 2011 and comes with decades of IT experience from a range of companies. Expertise ranging from Software Programming, Data Mining, Data Reporting, IT Software Support, IT Hardware Support and Accounting. Instrumental in implementing various Electronic Health Records and Network System for Prairie Ridge.
Cassandra Galsim, MS
Community Services Director
Cassandra has been employed with Prairie Ridge is August of 2017. Previously, she worked as a supervisor with the Integrated Health Home program and now manages the community services programs. Cassandra graduated from the University of Iowa in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minors in Human Relations and Human Sexuality. She then moved to Illinois and spent time working with both adolescents and adults in residential settings. Upon moving back to Iowa, she attended Buena Vista University and earned a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, Feedback Informed Treatment and Nurtured Heart Approach.

Graduated from Westmar College (1984)
Mike has served as the Prairie Ridge Fiscal Officer since 1989.
Data Management Director
Larece Bartusek is the Director of Quality and Data Management. She has been employed with Prairie Ridge since 1992 after graduating from Hamilton Business College. She oversees the quality and accuracy of data and reporting for the agency. Larece has directed the implementation of various electronic health records with set-up and training of employees. Larece was extensively involved in the NIATx Project and is a certified Change Leader.
Dr. Shea Jorgensen
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Jorgensen received her undergraduate degree at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and completed both medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of Iowa, where she served as a chief resident. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is the psychiatrist for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team and RENEW first episode psychosis team. Dr. Jorgensen is also Director of the Public and Rural Psychiatry track at the University of Iowa. She is passionate about improving care and access for patients in rural Iowa.
Katie Behr, tLMHC, CADC
Outpatient Clinical Supervisor/Outpatient Clinician
Katie began her work at Prairie Ridge as an intern and continued her work with the agency after graduating from Buena Vista University with a Masters of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling. While a graduate student, she served on the American Counseling Association of Iowa board in the Graduate Chair position. Katie is certified in EMDR and trained in PCIT, and uses these as well as other evidenced based practices to treat trauma and related co-occurring patients.
Human Resource Manager
Kim Miller is the Billing Supervisor. She has been employed with Prairie Ridge since 2012. She graduated from NIACC with her AA degree in 1985 and has well over 30 years in billing. She currently oversees the Billing and Authorization Specialists departments.
Support Staff Supervisor
Alyssa Waite is the Support Staff Supervisor. She has been employed with Prairie Ridge since 2014 and has served in multiple capacities within the agency from Support Staff, to Residential Intake Coordinator, to Transition Specialist, to Residential Clinician. She currently oversees the Support Staff department in all Prairie Ridge locations and strives to implement Prairie Ridge’s mission and values starting at the first point of contact with all individuals to provide best experience possible.
