ResourcesRobert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant Recipient. Prairie Ridge Addiction Treatment Services was one of ten national programs chosen by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to participate in the Paths to Recovery Program, Improving the Process of Substance Abuse Care. This project later developed into the National Improvement for Addiction Treatment (NIATx) network and includes programs across the nation working collaboratively through process improvement to improve substance abuse treatment nationwide. The project is designed to improve access and retention in substance abuse treatment and is aligned around four aims: 1. Reducing Wait Times 2. Reducing No Shows 3. Increasing Continuation 4. Increasing Admissions The NIATx network boasts substantial improvements in those four aims after three years of operation. Participating programs utilize a walk-through of existing processes and then design improved processes which are measured by data. The collaborative meets three times per year at sites around the nation to share success stories and further their education about process improvement and improving substance abuse treatment in general. This program is now being disseminated on a statewide basis and has gained much notoriety and prestige by the nation's substance abuse community. Prairie Ridge has been extremely proud to be part of this groundbreaking initiative. |
