LEADERSHIP TEAM:

Larece Bartusek, Office Manager / Support Staff Supervisor

Mike has served as the Prairie Ridge Fiscal Officer since 1989.

Jay has worked for Prairie Ridge since 1974 and has served as the Executive Director since 1984.  He is past President of ISPDA and was involved in the original NIATx project sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  He currently serves on the Iowa Board of Health and has provided numerous trainings and presentations at the National, State and Local level.

Jeannie Giordano-Shanks, LISW, CADC, Outpatient Clinical Supervisor

In addition to Jeannie's work as the outpatient clinical supervisor, Jeannie has worked to develop several new programs at Prairie Ridge: including an anxiety curriculum, a harm reduction curriculum, a tabacco treatment curriculum and the development of a peer facilitator program.

Kelly Grunhovd, CPS, Prevention Manager

Kelly Grunhovd is the Prevention Program Manager/Program Director.  She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Spanish.  While studying at the University of Northern Iowa, she concentrated her class load in Psychology of Adjustment and Abnormal Psychology.  She was also able to fine tune her Spanish skills by studying a semester in Spain.  Ms. Grunhovd is a certified instructor for Strengthening Families Program, Reconnecting Youth and Prime for Life programs.

Lorrie Young, LMSW, CADC, Clinical Director

Larece Bartusek is the Director's Assistant and Office Manager.  She has been employed with Prairie Ridge since 1992 after graduating from Hamilton Business College.  Larece was extensively involved in the NIATx Project and is a certified Change Leader.

Mark Dodd, LMHC, CADC, Quality Manager

Mark's duties include Process Improvement, Project Implementation and Outcomes Measurement.  He has extensive experience in the practice and training of Motivational Interviewing and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).  He has served as the agency Change Leader since 2003 in conjunction with the agency's ongoing participation in the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Services (NIATx).  If you have any comments or concerns about the quality of the care or service you received while at Prairie Ridge - call 641-424-2391.

Lorrie specializes in solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and in working with clients with co-occurring disorders.  She has worked to develop informative programming targeted at fighting the effects of stigma as it impacts clients with chronic mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Jennifer Tarr, BA, ACADC - Residential Program Manager

Jenny has been employed at Prairie Ridge since 2005 and specializes in providing dialectical behavioral therapy and MATRIX and has done training throughout the state of Iowa in the MATRIX curriculum.  Jenny is currently the Residential Program Manager overseeing both the Residential and Intensive Outpatient Programs, as well as managing referrals for our programs.
